In-House Dyno Tuning

Let’s face it – almost everything that you use on a daily basis has a computer chip somewhere on it nowadays. Your vehicle is no different, typically with multiple computers on-board that need to be accurate to within a microsecond. Engineers put thousands of hours into calibrating your vehicle to have the best “happy medium” between fuel efficiency, performance, and most importantly reliability.

Every single manufacturer that sells vehicles in the United States today is under an immense amount of pressure by law-enforcement agencies to ensure that these vehicles conform to very strict fuel-efficiency regulations. Unfortunately, for us (the enthusiasts) that means that both reliability and performance are severely compromised.

That’s where “Dyno Tuning” comes in, and why it’s important. The dynomometer (or “dyno” for short) is a large platform that your vehicle is driven onto. Think of it like a tread-mill for your car. Once it’s on the platform, it is driven whilst measurements are taken for engine horsepower, torque, along with dozens of other parameters. Behind the scenes is a highly skilled “tuner” that monitors these parameters, and makes adjustments based on what you are trying to achieve with your vehicle.

All of our customers’ vehicles are tuned in-house by Remy Pratt, a highly talented individual with nearly two decades of tuning experience. With over 1,000 tuned vehicles on the road today – you can rest assured that your vehicle is in good hands.
